RETREAT IN THE BAHAMAS–Tibetan Rejuvenation The Ancient Healing Practices of Sowa Rigpa
November 1 @ 8:00 AM - November 4 @ 5:00 PM

Tibetan Rejuvenation
The Ancient Healing Practices of Sowa Rigpa
The tradition of Sowa Rigpa (Tibetan medicine) offers profound wisdom on how to rejuvenate our physical bodies and balance our mental and emotional bodies. By addressing and purifying imbalances at the level of the subtle-energy body, these methods can help maintain good health, prevent future illness, extend the lifespan, and deeply transform one’s own mind. Ultimately, these methods help us reconnect with our own true nature and discover the true Self beyond the self.
In this experiential retreat, we will learn basic theories behind Tibetan rejuvenation practices and learn rare but simple methods from the “Spiritual Healing” branch of Tibetan medicine (and from tantric Buddhist traditions)–all of which help cultivate physical, mental and spiritual health.
We will practice rejuvenation techniques to purify what Buddhist call our Three Gates:
– Body (through the practice of Nejang–Tibetan Longevity Yoga)
– Speech (through the practice of Mantra Healing and mantra chanting)
– Mind (through short guided self-healing meditations from the “Spiritual Healing” branch of Tibetan medicine.)
We will also learn profound pranayama techniques to purify the main channels of the energy body.
Participants will leave with a deepened understanding of how we can reclaim agency over our own health and well-being, and how we can use our own minds and bodies as healing supports.
In addition to engaging in practice sessions, we will make time for Q&A and the sharing of personal experiences. When one of us heals, we all heal; thus we will also dedicate the merit to all sentient beings.
During the satsang sessions of this retreat, we will chant healing mantras from the Sowa Rigpa “Mantra Pharmacy” and experience the potent and subtle effect of these powerful medical mantras. This is a very unique form of kirtan in that will will sing action mantras in addition to the typical devotional mantras.
Offered as 3 satsangs and 3 workshops (subject to change).
The presentations associated with this Yoga Vacation Program begin with an 8pm satsang on the first day of the program and conclude with a 12pm workshop on the last day of the program.
