Lee Mirabai Harrington (Sangye Rinchen Lhamo) is a ordained ngakma (tantric householder yogini) and mantra-healer in the Yuthok Nyingthik lineage – a unique spiritual tradition of Tibetan Buddhism connected with Sowa Rigpa and Medicine Buddha. She is a long-term practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and has served on the faculty at Tibet House, Menla, Kripalu, Sivananda Bahamas, the Omega Institute, Yogaville and more–offering courses on meditation, mantra, Nejang, and Tibetan self-healing practices. She has also taught creative writing at New York University and Columbia University. Certified as a Tibetan spiritual healer, she specializes in modalities from the energy-healing branch of Tibetan medicine and offers treatments in-person at Menla’s Dewa Spa in the Catskill Mountains–on the original sacred lands of the Munsee Lenape.  Lee is also a recording artist who sings healing mantras from the Tibetan Buddhist and Sowa Rigpa traditions.  With a vast background in writing and editing (and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College), Lee is the author of the memoir REX AND THE CITY (Random House: 2006 and Diversion Books 2014); as well as a former columnist for BARK magazine and a former editor at Zoetrope: All Story–Francis Ford Coppola’s literary magazine. These days Lee edits dharma books and spiritual memoirs.
