DESCRIPTION:In certain parts of Asia and beyond\, the Buddha’s Enlightenment Day is celebrated around the April full moon. At Ananda Ashram\, we are celebrating this auspicious occasion with a Buddhist mantra kirtan lead by Buddhist Spirit Voyage artist Lee Mirabai Harrington on Saturday night 4/28/18\, followed by special Buddhist-themed satsangs on Sunday morning and evening\, led by ashram staff and swamis.\n\nAnyone who engages in spiritual practice at this auspicious time—whether that be chanting\, kirtan\, meditation\, or acts of service—will see the merits of their beneficial actions increase by 100\,000. It is a very powerful time to engage in practices that purify negative karma of body\, speech\, and mind\, and for pacifying strong delusions such as desirous attachment and hatred.
